External Concrete Repairs & Decoration

Park Crescent is part of the International Students House Charity that enables young people worldwide to achieve their academic aims and to provide accommodation whilst they study.

Every Project Counts were contracted to carry out repairs to the exterior of the prestigious building and then decorate prior to a Royal Visit.

The central London location made for careful planning and programming to enable the movement of traffic and general public safety.

The building was part of the Crown Estates and thus had to comply with stringent methods of repair and careful choice of colours for the decoration works.

Our team completed the project in time for the Royal visit and has since carried many other projects for the Charity.

Grade 2 Listed Refurbishment

The Existing grade 2 listed farmhouse was dilapidated and need upgrading to modern standards.

The farmhouse at Fountains Farm, Harlow had been unlived in for a number of years. The farmhouse formed what was part of the Harlow Council housing stock and so it was decided to upgrade this once beautiful 17th century cottage to modern standards and in line with its grade 2 listing.

The repairs were extensive throughout the property along with the need to stop the subsidence to the north-eastern corner. All of the repairs were carried out in a sympathetic way and the finished project transformed the building back to its former glory.

The works consisted of the following...

New Entrance, Basement

Copper Guttering

Every Project Counts are a member of the National Churches Trust (NCT) Framework and as such carries out various repairs to historic buildings and churches throughout London and the South East.

We have carried out many repairs varying in size and nature and the one at St Johns The Evangelist in Dulwich particularly catches the eye.

The new copper guttering formed part of an existing box gutter which had failed and become inoperable. The new seamed guttering was in keeping with the conservation requirements and although not visible from below looked amazing on completion.

Natural History Museum at Tring

Every Project Counts were contracted to repoint the front elevation of a building associated with the Natural History Museum at Tring. The building was occupied through the duration of the works so Every Project Counts liaised with occupants to ensure work was carried out with minimal
disruption to them.

The work was undertaken by an approved specialist brickwork contractor with experience of "Tuck Pointing". A sample was first completed and quality approved before work began. A mixture of non-hydraulic lime mortar was tinted to match the existing brickwork. With care and precision this filled horizontal bed joins and perpends to create the "Tuck Pointing" finish.

A final quality inspection was carried out and the client was very satisfied with the quality of the work.
