The Spring Hills Tower roof replacement and associated works took place during the national lockdown. Special measures were introduced by EPC to control the spread of Covid-19 and these helped to contribute to a successful project outcome with no reported cases and no days lost due to the pandemic.
The high level works needed co-ordination and careful planning including close co-ordination with residents with regards access and satellite replacement and reinstatement. A presentation of the works and effects on the residents and local environment was presented to all the residents including a questions and answers forum, which proved to be very positive for all involved. The quality of work was praised by Harlow Council alongside the professionalism of our our project management team.
The successful outcome meant the project finished within programme, on budget and with no accidents or near misses and is testimony to the hard work and careful planning of the whole team.
Seymour Pavilion is used as a sporting hub for the area of Ingatestone, facilitating many sports clubs for both adults and children. A shortage of recreational space in Ingatestone meant the council recognised the importance of refurbishing the pavilion at Seymour Field.
The refurbishment works we completed included the reconfiguration of the pavilion to provide two changing rooms, an officials’ changing room, a community hall, a kitchen, toilets and storage space. With the old facility unable to meet FA facility criteria, the modernisation of the site was essential to safeguard football participation in the village. Working extensively with the Parish council, the design of the pavilion was formulated to be both compliant and aesthetically pleasing.
Mike Harris from WHS Associates commented "Every Project Counts was a new contractor introduced to me. I had a great experience working with these guys, they ticked all the boxes. The project was completed ahead of programme, excellent finish and within budget. Very professional and hope to
work with them again." As a business we were pleased.
"We have been able to create a facility that will be the pride of the parish for
future generations."
Parish Council Chairman Paul Jeater
Every Project Counts was entrusted to carry out a sensory garden project for Barnet Enfield & Haringey Mental health NHS Trust (BE&H). We were allocated 6 weeks to complete the project, it was in fact completed in 5 weeks and within budget.
The original garden had become overgrown and unusable for the service and had to be completely demolished. The infrastructure was completely renewed involving new drainage, electrical supply lighting and water supply.
The finishes included resin stone pathways, a water feature, newly planted trees & plants, turfing and decoration to walls.
To complete the work our team of operatives worked weekends and extended their working days.
All the service staff were thrilled with the end result.
Every Project Counts Ltd were contracted by Harlow Council to carry out the redecorations, plaster repairs, window replacement and cleaning of two residential blocks at Peterswood. Our team liaised with the residents to arrange appropriate times for taking stairwells out of use and worked closely with them so the end result was a clean and fresh look to areas which were previously dreary. EPC arranged customer feedback forms for all the residents and our Project Manager James Gill received many compliments for his patience and attention to detail to the finishes. In what can sometimes be a difficult environment the whole project was completed on time, within budget and with minimal disruption.
The Residents of Milwards had been experiencing condensation issues within the stairwell and communal areas. They had reported roof leaks and draught issues within their properties and subsequently, these issues had been an ongoing problem for Harlow Council.
Following a competitive tender process Every Project Counts was contracted to address all of the issues and to re-decorate the exterior.
The works included carrying out a detailed thermal survey of the building fabric to identify cold spots. The old cavity insulation was removed and replaced with new. New insulated flat roofs were installed to the communal areas with ventilation and guttering works. Finally, we installed new double glazing and decorations throughout.
Lansdowne Court was a privately owned ‘Art Deco’ style community block. The project involved concrete repairs to the existing building fabric, newly glazed windows, gutter repairs and decorations to the exterior.
The main challenges were access and egress around the busy community and ensuring the leaseholders were informed of every step of the project.
Our team worked closely with Baily Consulting and produced an outstanding project in keeping with and sympathetic to the buildings original design and features.
Christie Road Window & Door Replacement
Christie Road is located in the London Borough of Hackney and was built in the early 20th century. All the properties in the street are Grade 2 listed and Every Project Counts Ltd was contracted by Sanctuary Housing to upgrade the windows and doors, external building fabric and redecorations.
Working closely with the local conservation officer the works had to be both in keeping with the Grade 2 listing and meet current building standards.
Our team have overcome the many challenges a fully occupied street of residents can present by informing and communicating with the local community and being flexible wherever possible.
Being within an inner city location the logistics had to be carefully planned and coordinated so as not to inconvenience the residents, school and commuter traffic.
Meticulous planning has been crucial on the project and the whole team deserve high praise for the way they have addressed these issues.
