Natural History Museum at Tring

Specialist Tuck Pointing

Every Project Counts were contracted to repoint the front elevation of a building associated with the Natural History Museum at Tring. The building was occupied through the duration of the works so Every Project Counts liaised with occupants to ensure work was carried out with minimal
disruption to them.

The work was undertaken by an approved specialist brickwork contractor with experience of "Tuck Pointing". A sample was first completed and quality approved before work began. A mixture of non-hydraulic lime mortar was tinted to match the existing brickwork. With care and precision this filled horizontal bed joins and perpends to create the "Tuck Pointing" finish.

A final quality inspection was carried out and the client was very satisfied with the quality of the work.
