Every Project Counts was appointed to deliver the conversion and remodelling of the main building at Upton Cross School, transforming existing spaces into high-quality SEND facilities. The works included full M&E upgrades, new classrooms, specialist WC and hygiene rooms, a kitchenette, soft play and sensory areas, and associated external works.
The project presented unique challenges, as all works were carried out during term time with the school fully occupied. This required careful phasing, strict health and safety controls, and all operatives to hold enhanced DBS clearance. Noise, dust, and safeguarding measures were given the highest priority to ensure minimal disruption to pupils and staff.
Key elements of the scheme included extensive strip-out, new partitioning, plumbing and drainage installations, mechanical and electrical upgrades, and bespoke joinery. High-quality finishes such as hygienic wall cladding, Altro safety flooring, and IPS panel systems were installed to meet both regulatory standards and the needs of the pupils. External works included new secure fencing and the creation of safe play areas.

Every Project Counts was first introduced to this school over five years ago for a window
refurbishment project the Local Authority had commissioned. We were happy with the work,
which was undertaken in a professional and timely manner. Hence they are considered and
welcome to quote for other school building projects as and when they arise, such as the recent
refurbishment of our staff toilets - which they designed and built with good feedback from staff.

We had multiple Jobs done throughout the school and they completed them within the time given. They checked with me first to make sure if there were any problems that they came across during the works and then came up with a different solution so that the work is completed.
